In the news

We’ve come a long way and we’ve only just begun!

As we prepare for the Fit Show, it is a great time to recap on just how far we have come in the last two years.

Any business that is driven by its future rarely stands around for too long thinking about how far they have come, but for Business Pilot, the FIT Show will always be significant.

FIT Show 2019 was the official launch of Business Pilot. Whilst we did already have a few customers on board that had met other members of the Business Pilot team at installer events, we still consider it our ‘official’ launch.

The key feature at that point that helped Business Pilot to stand out was the interactive schedule board. It was (and still is) a complete game changer. And yet today, it is just one of many features within the system that all could be considered game changers.

Take BP Mail, which we are frequently told is “the best implementation of email within a CRM that people have seen”

Or consider Status Progression. A way to map out your exact processes into a system that will automate many tasks for you and also report on where things are getting stuck. It’s like having an office manager working for you 24/7.

Then there’s the heat mapping of where your installs are, or the way we automatically add the distance and time to a job, into your contract area. small things, but all adding to the intuitive way in which Business Pilot works. Even just the way the whole system works. Every week we meet people who say that their current Installation Company CRM is ‘clunky’ and they find it so irritating that they stop using it. They can’t believe how user friendly Business Pilot is.

That is because we focus on what we do (business management software) and don’t try to be all things to all men. We use API’s (links to other software) to allow our users to get the best solution for their particular needs.

It also helps that two of our directors still run their own installation businesses. Their insights are invaluable. How an installation business ran years ago is not the same as today, especially since the pandemic. So, having these guys as part of the team makes a huge difference.

But enough of that. Companies that write the future don’t hang around for too long looking at the past, and that means we now return to the current and the future.

It has been a crazy three years, but that has no sign of stopping at Business Pilot. We have development plans that go out through 2023. And an ideas board that grows with every new conversation we have.

Where the basis of all talk is ‘if only we could’ and ‘imagine if’.

Expect to see new features at the FIT Show 22. But not just a few ideas that we have cobbled together for the show. They have been part of our development plan just as the current items are that we will be releasing through the year. If you want the best installation company crm for your business, then either come and see us on stand M10 (just inside the doors) at the FIT Show (May 10-12th), or take a free trial to see how the system is looking now, three years on from its official launch!
