NEW! Contract Value Adjustments, New Contract Grid Columns & Live Job Costs Grid

As always, our development team are working hard behind the scenes to bring you new features and keep the Business Pilot platform running smoothly.

We’re extremely close to the finish line with our new App and it is planned for release very soon…watch this space!

Here are the latest system updates that are now live – as ever, please keep sending us your ideas on how we can make Business Pilot even better for you and your team!

Contract Value Adjustment

You will now find an edit button next to Contract Value (Net) in contract details.

All contract value adjustments are recorded in the system and can be seen in the editing pop-up (see below) and in the notes section of each contract, so you have a full audit trail. You can also alter the contract date which ensures that any sales differentiations are recorded in the correct sales weeks.

Please note, Contract Value amendments can still be administered by any full license system users but this new Edit feature is only available for Super Admin, Admin and Finance roles.

New Columns Added to Live & All Contracts Grids

In the live contracts grid, you will now find three additional column options to support you with your finance management.

  1. ‘On hand (net)’ shows the amount still to be invoiced – note this is different to ‘Balance outstanding’, which only takes in to account amounts outstanding that have already been invoiced
  2. ‘Invoiced (net)’ shows the total amount that has been invoiced on that contract
  3. ‘Ignore balance O/S?’ will show any contract that has the ‘ignore balance outstanding’ option selected

As with all grid column options, this information can be exported as a .csv file if required.

New Live Job Costs Grid

In the main side menu under ‘Finance’ you will now see two job cost options – All Job Costs and Live Job Costs. This works in the same way as the Purchase Order menu – the new Live Job Costs grid shows costs from all contracts that are not yet complete.

This gives you a more accurate snap shot of your current and ongoing costs, reduces the number of Job Costs called each time the grid is loaded and ensures system speeds are maintained.

If you need any support with these new features, remember you can send a message to our Support team in the Business Pilot system.

Don’t forget, we offer both in-person and remote training sessions to help you and your team make the most of all Business Pilot features – get more information on our training page.
