Business Pilot has today released a new video with Managing Director, Elton Boocock, giving installation business owners an honest take on what AI actually means for the industry, without the buzzwords.
Every software company in the fenestration space is suddenly claiming to do AI. Some of it is real. A lot of it is marketing. Elton translates the terms installers are being sold and gives a practical view of where AI genuinely helps, where it falls over, and what to watch for when you are being pitched software with AI as a headline feature.
The interview covers where AI is actually useful in a job management context, what phrases like “AI powered”, “machine learning” and “AI agents” really mean, where installer experience still wins over any software, and the red flags to look out for when evaluating AI in a product.
“Some of what is being sold as AI in our industry right now is real. A lot of it is a logo on a website,” said Boocock. “Installers deserve a straight answer, not another sales pitch. That is what we set out to do with this video.”
The piece is aimed at installation business owners weighing up AI in their operations, or being pitched it by software providers. Rather than joining the noise, Business Pilot has taken the moment to translate what installers are actually being sold and give them the questions to ask before they commit.
As a platform built by installers, for installers, Business Pilot has consistently taken a straightforward view of technology in the trade. The new interview extends that position into the AI conversation.
