Midori Aluminium

Streamlining operations for ambitious growth

Midori Aluminium’s journey from scattered systems to a single platform built for growth

About Midori Aluminium

Midori Aluminium is a UK based aluminium glazing manufacturer serving residential, trade, and commercial markets from their Leicester headquarters. The company specialises in the design, manufacture, and supply of high quality aluminium windows, doors, and bespoke glazing systems.

With everything manufactured in house, Midori maintains full control over quality, lead times, and customisation. They offer supply only services nationwide and full installation within a 100 mile radius, providing a complete end to end service from enquiry through to completion.

Their project portfolio spans high end residential homes and renovations, trade supply for installers across the UK, and a growing presence in commercial developments including apartment blocks, offices, and student accommodation.

The Problem

As Midori Aluminium grew, it became clear that the systems and processes that had served them well in the early days were no longer fit for purpose.

Information was scattered everywhere:
Emails, spreadsheets, and disconnected systems made it difficult to track jobs efficiently. There was no single source of truth.

Visibility across the business was limited:
Understanding where jobs sat in the pipeline, forecasting workload, and managing customer communication consistently was a constant challenge.

Quoting, job tracking, and invoicing were disconnected:
Quotes were created in spreadsheets, job tracking depended on internal know how, and invoicing sat in its own silo. There was no link from quote to completion.

With ambitious growth plans to scale from around £3M to £7M turnover, Midori knew they needed a system that could bring everything together and grow with them.

“A system that genuinely helps bring structure, visibility, and efficiency.”

Director at Midori Aluminium

The Solution

Midori implemented Business Pilot to centralise their operations. The key features they use daily include:

Quoting and order processing:
Professional quotes created quickly and converted seamlessly into orders.

Job tracking and workflow management:
Clear visibility of every job from enquiry to completion.

Invoicing and financial tracking:
Invoices linked directly to completed work, eliminating manual duplication.

Customer management (CRM):
All customer information and communication in one place.

Vanisha Keshwala, Director at Midori Aluminium had this to say about the onboarding process;

“Onboarding was smooth overall. Like any system there is a learning curve, but once set up, Business Pilot became a powerful tool. The support team helped get the team up and running, and the system itself proved intuitive for day to day use.”

The CAB Connection

Midori Aluminium first heard about Business Pilot through the Council for Aluminium in Building (CAB), where it was being discussed as a recommended system within the industry.

Seeing a platform built specifically for aluminium fabricators and installers made a big difference. The features were relevant to how they actually operate, and it was clear this was a system designed for the sector rather than a generic solution adapted to fit.

The Results

Since implementing Business Pilot, Midori Aluminium has seen measurable improvements across the business:

  • Significant time savings in quoting and admin
  • Faster and more organised invoicing
  • Better visibility across all jobs and departments
  • Improved internal communication with less chasing and manual updates
  • Stronger foundations for growth as they scale the business
“One key moment was when we were able to quickly review our full pipeline and workload in one place, something that would have taken hours previously. Being able to track jobs in real time and understand exactly where everything stands has made a huge difference to how we manage the business.”
