We have lost count of the number of times we’ve given a Business Pilot demo to a potential new user, shown them the quick Convert to Contract feature, and they’ve said: “Oh, that’s’ good.” It’s because it is! All the information from your lead and quote automatically pulled through to the Contract creation stage, just like that!

At this point, responsibility shifts from sales to operations and it’s time to turn that home improvement dream into reality for your customer. You don’t want to waste any of the hard work your sales guys have done to win the project and you need to be confident that the customer journey from here on is just awesome.

That’s where convert to contract comes into its own. We know some businesses take a job directly from sales to operations whilst others have a stage or department where sales are checked and converted to contracts before ops get involved. Either way, convert to contract will change your life.

Convert to contract eliminates error, by automatically transferring all of the details from the lead into the contract stage. The ‘convert to contract’ action triggers a new Status Progression Pipeline to help your team follow the right processes and ensure all the right steps are taken in between sale agreement and installation.

Step-by-step

Once you convert a Lead to a Contract, a whole host of other features open up to help you progress your job and as steps are followed through your process, the status of the contract is updated so that you can see the progression of each live job.

You can see which tasks have been assigned to which Users, monitor the progress of those tasks and keep your customer informed at each step using BPmail. Our internal mailing system keeps a record of all communications with your customer, so everyone can see what’s been sent to them.

In the Contracts grid, you can filter contracts by Status and Status Date so you can make sure things are moving along at the pace you expect.

Meanwhile, the Status Summary page enables you to see how many contracts are sat at each stage in the pipeline and view pre-filtered grid displays.

We also have a Status Dashboard in the Management Information area which shows the number of contracts being handled by each member of the operations team.

And in the Reports section, you can find a Status History Report which can be downloaded as an Excel document in just one click!
